I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
